When you demonstrate to a woman that you are willing to screen her out –that you have standards that go beyond simply her being hot looking-you convey that you have options, and you set the frame that she is the one who has to win over you.

Screening her also gives her something to live up to, requiring her to be “on her toes” with how she treats you, the way she acts around you, and the priority she gives to pleasing you.
Now let’s be very intelligent and clear about this: if you’ve gone a long time without deep success with women, it can be very difficult to be actually be willing to walk away from any woman, much less a smoking hot one who is actually showing some interest in you. The emotional pain that can often go along with not succeeding with women can be intense and it can really cloud your mind and twist your judgment and your actions.
