All too often, I hear guys complain with a variation of this theme:

“I just wish I could find a girl who’s right for me. I’ve had so much bad luck with women that I don’t know if I’ll EVER find a woman I want to be with.”

Or, “I’m never going to have this much fun again with someone so hot ever again” (often uttered right after “losing” the “best” woman you’ve ever had, so you think).

Really, now?

Tell you what: let’s break down some numbers.

As of yesterday (April 9, 2010), the United States Census Bureau estimated there are 6,813,600,000 people on Planet Earth.

About half (or 3.4 BILLION) of them are women.

Now, let’s say that only 1 in 1,000 are available, within your age range, or otherwise Sargeable by you. You’ve still got 3.4 MILLION women.

And let’s assume, conservatively, that you can have chemistry with 1% of these women. All said and done, that leaves you 34,000 women who are available to you.

If you were to approach one woman per day until you approach all 34,000…that’s enough women for the next 93 YEARS.

Have you seen at least ONE hot woman today you could approach? Is there some hottie you’ve wanted to put the moves on, but you just haven’t brought yourself to do it yet?

Look up from above your computer monitor, if you’re in a public area, such as a coffee shop or other place where you’re using the public Wi-Fi. If you’re a student in a computer lab, same thing.

Is there at least ONE woman there, RIGHT NOW who looks like she might be worth saying hello to? If not, there’s a 50/50 chance you’ll see one within the next half hour.

Me, I like those odds. And if I don’t get anywhere with the next woman I meet (or claim my choice that I can do better and “Exit, Stage Left”), I’ve got DECADES worth of women who are still out there.

There is only one sure thing in this world: the fact that there is no such thing as a “sure thing.” Part of mastering your girl-getting game is gaining comfort with, and mastery of, the unknown.

Here’s an example of what might set things off: You just spent an awesome evening with a hot babe. Everything was perfect and you got her all excited…and the night is coming to a close and you go to kiss her. But before you get a word or a move in, her first response is to tell you “I’m only going to hug you good bye…okay?”

Worse yet, by the time you get home you see she already e-mailed you saying she enjoyed “learning about you” but with no specifics about what specifically she enjoyed, or whether she wants to enjoy more! (Say WHAT?!?!?!)

Man, does that fry your circuits or what??? You thought FOR SURE that you were taking her for a ride on the baloney-pony express tonight! Immediately the thought creeps in… “Uh oh….she doesn’t have interest in going out with me again.”

So what are you going to do? Pick a daisy and start plucking the pedals while saying “She wants to bang me; she wants to bang me not?”

Tell you what…

When all this happens, you are filtering your experience through a lot of anxiety. Remember: a woman’s first response should NEVER be interpreted as her final response. You’re jumping the gun here, cowboy.

How do you know she’s not just playing hard to get? Maybe she doesn’t know what she’s playing, or if she’s playing at all. And if she doesn’t know, how the he11 can YOU know, based off a hug and an e-mail?

Part of the issue is that your field of energy collapses at the first sign that you MIGHT be “losing” the chick. Then you go into a downward spiral of self-doubt. This leaves you feeling flat and dry as a fluffy pancake.

Then, you pour on the maple syrup: you are still filtering your girl-getting skills through the filter of “I hope she likes me! I HOPE THIS WORKS! PLEASE LIKE ME!” Sticky – as in, it gets you stuck – for sure.

All of this is static that will loop you back into the problem. Does it sound familiar?

Instead, imagine this: how would it be different for you if you walked through the world enjoying being powerful, outrageous and strong and not caring so much if it worked or it didn’t, but caring more about the energy and vibe you were going to express the skills from?

Yep, THAT would sure beat a poke in the eye, wouldn’t it?

In my direct teaching work with students, a question that frequently comes up is from a smart guy who wonders if he let a “sure thing” just walk away. He’ll encounter a smoking-hot, sweet-smelling hottie, some things will happen like snuggling, making out, etc. He knows he could probably score a home run if he took his best swing at bat, but for whatever reason, he walks.

This thought-provoking e-mail is a case in point:

Ross, I’m wondering if I missed an opportunity to get laid!

The other day I was flying home from Las Vegas. Normally when I fly I like to read a book, take a nap, and be alone, but my seatmate, Felicia, was really cute and open. She’s from Phoenix and married. I ran some patterns and did some anchoring by touching her arm and face, which she seemed to enjoy. After while she wanted to nap. She tried to get comfortable but kept stirring. So I nudged her and said “Felicia….” as I lifted up the arm rest and moved her close so she could cuddle with me while she napped. I held her close and enjoyed her perfume and her warm body next to me.

After the flight, before I left her at baggage claim, I thanked her for the best plane ride EVER, hugged and kissed her, and handed her my card and said “If I can ever be of service you….be well, Felicia” and walked away from her without another word. Part of it was because her in-laws were picking her up and I didn’t want a scene, but I enjoyed the ability to Sarge, then walk away from a scenario that I know isn’t worth my time.

I wanted to leave her with the memory of the plane ride and let HER wonder about ME, knowing she holds the key to me if she chooses to turn it. On the other hand, I am wondering if I missed out and I should have “gone for it” anyway. Did I let it walk away?

You’re right – you won’t hear from her again – but that’s not the point. You were able to Sarge and have an enjoyable experience with a sweet-smelling hottie who was open and willing.

Okay, you didn’t get laid. Sounds like you didn’t try. And if she’s “petting the kitty” thinking about you and the plane ride now, that’s not the same as you doing it for her. But I’ll wager it felt good having her snuggling up to you, didn’t it? I bet every guy on the airplane who saw you wished he was a “stud” like you.

Remember: when you practice Speed Seduction® in your pursuit of the women you desire, it’s not about succeeding with the woman you are Sarging on right now. It’s about honing and mastering your skills to claim your results on your next 10 Sarges. If you ask me, you should have kissed her and made out with her, but you didn’t. This experience prepared you for next time this happens – and in your pursuit of girl-getting mastery, it WILL.

So again, you didn’t poke her, but you know THIS plane ride sure beat a poke in the eye!

When you Sarge on the amazing, incredibly sexy women in your world, the goal is to succeed with as many women as possible who meet your standards, based on the screening tools that you use to interpret the feedback they give you.

Like I’ve said: it’s a matter of interpretation. I hear many stories about students of mine who effortlessly approach a woman and use my techniques for getting her aroused and excited, but they don’t “make the move” because they just can’t tell if she’s really interested, or if he goes for the close, she might slap him.

Case in point:

I would appreciate some good tips from you on “women’s signals of interest”. Also if there are any exceptions to those “signals of interest,” meaning they really may not be what they sound like….I am really terrible at this, although the obvious things are slamming my forehead screaming “Dude, wake up!!! That’s the signal!”

I still somehow hesitate because most of the time I am really unsure and don`t wish to screw up anything – and most importantly lose her as a friend.

Last time I had coffee with a friend of mine, everything was fine. We chatted a little bit and had some really good laughs. Somehow I noticed there may have been some interest from her side. Although she smiled, I still wasn’t too sure if it was a GO or NO GO. I mean, a man can’t simply see a woman’s interest just from her smile, if she is having a good time or laughing about something unless it is you.

Thank you for your excellent question. My answer is in two parts.

First, let me challenge your thinking. Are you looking to make more friends, or are you looking for Penthouse-worthy erotic encounters with dripping-wet, hot women? I first powerfully approach women, then based on the feedback they give me I decide what category they fit in. When you approach women, you need to be clear on your end goal – and focus ALL of your energy, skills, and power toward claiming that goal.

Second, you don’t need to wait for sure to see if there’s interest on her side. When you use Speed Seduction®, you’ll see the fascination and desire in her face. I call this the “doggy bowl dinner” look.

The student I spoke about on my blog last month who had sex with the squirter on the first date told me that he had encountered challenges “reaching” her during their dinner to the point where he almost took her home early. But back at his place, after some bantering and patterning, she gave him this “look”. He chose to interpret it as her way of nonverbally saying, “it’s on” and powerfully made his move. He used Speed Seduction® to tell the difference.

Sarging, like sales, is a “numbers game.” Sometimes she will tell you “no” even when you thought she was definitely going to bang you. Sometimes she “flakes.” Sometimes she wastes your time that, had you known, you could have more productively spent Sarging on her even hotter roommate.

That’s life in the fast lane, fellas. Part of life. Can’t be helped. Case in point, this e-mail I got:

The other night I met a hot woman who showed lots of interest in me. I established rapport well, entertained her well. I had her laughing, smiling, her attention was focused on me completely for 15 minutes. Later on she approached me to continue the conversation. Again, things went very well. She was very into me. She gave me her number, and kissed me good night.

I called her the next morning and said she was busy at work and could she call me back. She called back after 10 minutes. It was a great conversation and she agreed to call me next week when she’s back from a trip she’s leaving for.

Then, she called me again 10 minutes later. She said she had to be honest with me – that she is seeing someone, and that it would cause big difficulties in her relationship if she goes out with me. I said, ok, sure, I’ll leave it up to you. She said she’d had a great night with me last night and she’d been a bit drunk. She thanked me for understanding her situation.

What happened here? How do I stop this from happening again?

First of all, let’s focus on the Speed Seduction® mindset that is crucial here, that I think you already have based on reading this:

“It is COMMON place for you to be able to connect strongly with women and attract them.”

Now, bear in mind: SOME WOMEN ARE JUST NOT IN THE MARKET. They may enjoy the flirting..the attention..the fun…but they just aren’t in the market. HAPPENS TO EVERY F@@KING SINGLE ONE OF US. EVERYONE. Even me, Ross Jeffries.

In this video(which is #3 of 10 in my Youtube  Beyond Dating Tips Playlist) I discuss the nature of approach anxiety-what it really is-and how to destroy it so you can enjoy the ability to approach and pick-up(and seduce) hot women with ease.

I have a radically and fundamentally different view of approach anxiety; I don’t view it as being about fear of rejection or even fear of the approach

Rather I view it as neurological friction; the result of two equally powerful and conflicting desires arising in your neurology at the same time.

What are these?

The desire to move forward and talk to the woman(or women) and the equal and opposite desire to stay right where you are and not say a word until you are certain that what you are going to say and do will work.

Let me give you a metaphor to understand.

Suppose I gave you a radio-controlled toy car.  And you gave it the command to turn left and turn right at the exact same moment.

What would the car do?

I think you know the answer.

It would freeze up and spin its motor until it burned out or the battery ran out.

Is this beginning to make sense?

A huge breakthrough will occur when you now realize that approach anxiety isn’t really that at all. It’s internal conflict manifesting as neurological friction and cognitive confusion.

Now there is one more complicating factor and that is the meaning you give to the feelings of neurological upset.

If you conclude that the anxious, or rather FRICTION feelings means that you face some external threat-that you are about to be rejected, defeated or humiliated in the external world, then you are going to create secondary anxiety about that.

Now, in addition to the internal conflict, you get to add in a nice dose of fight or flight syndrome.

So what is the solution to all of this?
