Dear Speed Seduction® Student,

Some months ago, I covered the importance of creating genuine curiosity within yourself as a key to turbo-charging your success with women.  Not just about women, but about EVERYTHING.

Curiosity serves a critical purpose.  What are all the different ways to learn more about a woman in such a way to learn how she processes, so I can use these processes to persuade her more effectively?

Here are some thoughts:

A key point about Speed Seduction® is to look for process rather than object or thing.  Meaning, look for ongoing activity rather than a “thing” or a “person” called a “girl”.

There is no such “thing’ as love, meaning love is not an object like a car or a truck. Our language tends to take ongoing experience, flow and process and turn it into a frozen, fixed, unchanging and unchangeable “entity” or “condition”.

Thus, “I HAVE depression” or “I AM depressed” as opposed to, “I am depressing” or “I am doing depression”.

Next, get curious about your own processes. When you feel excited, how are you creating that?

Get curious about how and when people discovered their interests and passions.

When a woman tells me she does martial arts, I am not so interested in what kind. I am far MORE interested in how she first discovered she enjoyed it. And what is it that maintains that interest and passion? What is it that she finds most enjoyable and most challenging?

Here’s another hint: listen for when women reveal any kind of process that involves their imagination and fantasies and obsessions. If, for instance, she mentions that sometimes she gets bored at work and drifts off into daydreams, don’t go blasting past that.

She’s just volunteered something about a very useful process that we can take hold of and link to ourselves.

Here’s another one: listen for her person metaphor.

I was working with a student who said, “I feel like I am going off the deep end”.

Now, that’s not anything that is literally happening. He wasn’t actually standing at a swimming pool at the deep end. It was a metaphoric way of envisioning his experience that wasn’t serving him.

And he wasn’t even aware he was using a metaphor.

I untied that by forbidding him to use any metaphors when describing challenging emotional flows. He is allowed to say, “I am feeling a state of frustration” or “I am feeling a state of sadness”. That is more literal and more useful.

These are just some hints.

So there’s a woman you’ve been seeing, things seem to be going great.  And now, you’re stepping things up – or trying to.

Or it could be you simply haven’t sufficiently captured and led her imagination to the point where she is feeling the feelings inside that let her know she wants to kiss/grope/fuck a guy (you).

One thing you can be sure of: for whatever combination of factors, she has NOT yet felt the flow of feelings inside; the flood of feelings on the inside that lets her know: I HAVE TO HAVE THIS MAN.

You see, the key to dealing with resistance is to understand the three levels of dealing with any response:

1. The beliefs that enable you to stay calm and utilize what YOU see as “resistance”.
2. The energetic control to keep your intent focused and strong.
3. The actual patter or words you say.

Could be, she needs to feel more comfort and connection with you.

Are you are trying to “date” her; to shove Speed Seduction® into the dating frame?  That triggers both her “check list” for a guy and her own fears about being labeled a slut, etc.

One quick thought: if she pulls back when you go for the kiss, are you touching her in some way before you go in for the kiss?

As I tell guys, the CLOSE starts the minute you first talk to her. Which means, early on, establish some comfort in touch.

Why in the world would any guy in his right mind want to take a step backward down the intimacy ladder with women?

Yet that is exactly what many men are doing by following stupid-ass advice from “PUA GURUS” to use text messaging with women they’ve just met.

Listen: using your voice is far more powerful, conveys far more emotional meaning, and enables you to evoke far more powerful states of emotion than even the most cleverly worded text.

Hey: if it is true that 70% of communication is not the actual words we use, but facial expressions and the tone of our voice, then what in the world do you think is the result of just typing words?

Is it just me, or does that seem like screwing when your dick is soft?

The only time you should ever use text messages with women is after you have already “hooked up”. Once you’ve done that, then texting can be a way to easily arrange meetings or stay in touch, but even then it has to be used judiciously and sparingly.

A few other things to bear in mind:

• My students often tell me about women who at the end of a phone call will say “text me” or who will want to hang up, yet immediately continue the conversation via txt msg-ng.  Is she serious? Don’t you want her to take a step forward, TOWARD you?  Will texting “hey wassup?” pull her closer?
• So she’s into “sexting.”  Like cybering, you have to wonder, is she visioning you when she types all that naughty stuff, or is she thinking about a guy she’s actually fckng who isn’t there rite now 2 srvce hr 2day?

Remember: txt mssgs sck dck and only asshls use them on chicks they hvnt fckd.

Now listen: on my member’s only Yahoo group, one of the students wrote about his break up with a girl he thought was his “soul mate”.  And how, in fact, in retrospect, she really had very few of the qualities he actually looks for in a partner.

Speaking to you as someone who is a fan of crypto-zoology-the study of unknown creatures like Big Foot, the Loch Ness Monster, Moth Man, etc-I can tell you that while some folks say they have seen what look like Yeti foot-prints and living Tasmanian Tigers, no one has every actually spotted tracks or droppings from the wholly mythological creature, “the soul mate”.

My friends who are hopeless romantics, cover your eyes: there ain’t no such critter.

Do people experience feelings of connection, deep compatibility? Sure. Are these experiences likely partially a matter of millions of years of evolutionary mechanisms that cause us to form pair bonds? Almost certainly.

But much of our experiences of “love” and “soul mates” and other nonsense is due to the social programming/romantic mythology that has been pounded into our heads from infancy, right up to the present day.

If you think your experiences in these areas of life are wholly and only “natural” and “genuine” and “authentic”, think again.  They are also shaped by the mythology and expectations that media and peers have perpetuated.

But there was a sales clerk attached to her. She just kept pummeling him with questions. He’d flit away for five seconds and come right back.

They had an interaction that went on for so long that I felt like I was stalking her. I was wandering from aisle to aisle and killing what time I could, but eventually I felt like I was going to get busted or give her the creeps or something so I backed off.

What do you do? Is it ever doable to interrupt an interaction with an ongoing sales purchase? How can you break into that?

This is a situation that most guys find themselves in. They want to approach a hottie in her daily life but there’s some co-worker, sales clerk, or other business acquaintance who won’t get out of the way long enough.

Here’s something to think about. Although this chick is smokin’ hot, maybe you’re just not going to meet her today. You can hang around, and maybe the clerk will go away. Chances are, that sales clerk will be there until the time she pays for her furniture – then she’s out of there.

Meanwhile, look around you. Right now. Are there any other beautiful women in the store who are more approachable – who you could approach instead?
