There’s one word I REALLY hate. The “F” word.

No, I don’t mean “flirting,” “f@@%ing,” or “Facebook.” I teach smart guys like you how to do the first effectively so you can experience more of the second with women you meet in all walks of life as well as online on places like the third (Facebook).

The “F” word I can’t stand is “friends” – as in, when a guy Sarges on a chick and his game gets shot down when she says “Let’s just be friends.”

Man, it hurts my ears! In fact, learning how to effectively dodge and encounter this “F-bomb” is one of the most timeless challenges faced by my students. Case in point:

Ross, what can I do to overcome resistance from a girl who says she just wants to be friends?

Things between me and her started out pretty fast, but it’s almost like she’s a bit scared now and is saying she just wants to be my friend. I mentioned that I didn’t want to play or abuse her mind and that I was looking for a truer relationship involving more than either “just sex” or “just hanging out.” I told her that maybe I didn’t want to be just her “friend” that way.

She said, then I would be like just another one of those assholes who never “understood” or “respected” her. So I said, “maybe we should discuss things.” She came over to talk. I tried many patterns on her, including touching and kissing. She said she loves to be with me as I’m fun and I allow her to just “be herself.” But man, it’s tough to get the “follow through” (beyond just being “friends”) when she shows resistance. I, of course, will move on from her, but I’m looking for some strategies for overcoming when the woman says “I just want to be friends.” Any good suggestions? I’m up for them.

Many times I have taught and said: Never take her first response as written in stone. It’s just a reflection of how and what she is thinking, feeling and believing IN THAT MOMENT and it is always subject to change.

There are all sorts of REAL meanings to: “I just want to be friends.”

The worst case (which doesn’t seem like your situation, if you were touching and kissing her and didn’t get slapped) is that she isn’t attracted, fascinated or aroused by you … and just feels some comfort (you help her “be herself”). If this is the case, though, you are in trouble.

However, sometimes the “F” word means, “I feel deep feelings; if I have sex with you, my vulnerability will REALLY come out and you might be a person who will use that to crush me.” In other words, she has both desire (for you, for sex, for intimate contact) AND she also has fear. Could be she’s had some bad experiences and is looking at you through the lens of those bad experiences.

I encounter the same kind of resistance you are talking about. Yes, I, Ross Jeffries, get the “F” bomb dropped on me! When this happens I hold my ground and make no apologies. This might sound like BS, but staying powerfully congruent will get you far.

You are already powerful, and from what I can tell you have a great heart and are willing to learn whatever you can about a woman to help the two of you experience happiness together.

I hereby proclaim that you are LIGHT YEARS AHEAD of the clueless AFCs and Joe Schmucks out there who refuse to claim their power, results, and success with women.

Remember, the power is in you. And as you work your way past the woman’s resistance, say to yourself inside:

Have you seen a TV show called “King Of The Hill?”

I don’t watch the show too often, but the episode I happened to catch recently was a PERFECT example that relates to what I teach.

One of the main characters is a guy named Boomhauer, who doesn’t talk much and comes off as a sort of spaced-out airhead if you don’t know him well. When he does speak, you can barely make out what he’s saying.

BUT, for some reason he’s never short of succulent, hot babes to go out with. He’s viewed as a “ladies’ man” by his buddies, most of whom (from what I could tell) either haven’t mastered a girl-getting game or are stuck in “real-hate-shun-ships by default.”

Anyway, one day Boomhauer offers to teach Hank Hill’s son Bobby, who is just starting to like girls and want to learn how to pick up chicks, how to approach and impress women. Boomhauer and Bobby go to a ladies’ shoe store, and, like my best students, Boomhauer gets to work and starts Sarging …

… well, sort of.

Boomhauer’s approach is that he simply walks right up to every woman in the store – and I mean EVERY woman – and asks for her phone number. As I said, he speaks unintelligibly so it comes out like “Something something dang ol’ something something you know give me your number and something something call you up sometime or something.” You see him get repeatedly yelled at and slapped. This happens, I think, about 20 times.

But then a woman writes her number on a card and hands it to him. Boomhauer walks up to Bobby, shows him the card, and says something like, “See, look at that, man. Dang ol’ piece of cake.”

Bobby wonders what he’s talking about, since he just witnessed Boomhauer getting shot down over and over. Boomhauer replies that it doesn’t matter, because he got the digits from a hottie. Then he walks off with all the confidence and serenity of a man who owns his game, who KNOWS he’s going to get laid.

So … What Can We Learn From Boomhauer?

Yes, his approach is rough and primitive, and if he was my student, in no time flat he wouldn’t need to approach 20 women to get results, or ask for numbers anymore. But there are some general principles Boomhauer teaches us.

• When you Sarge on a woman, it’s not just about succeeding with THAT ONE woman. It’s about honing and mastering your skills to succeed with that woman AND the next ten women you approach (one of whom might be her even hotter roommate or neighbor).
• Even the most experienced expert girl-getters don’t succeed with every woman. The real goal is to approach and Sarge on as many women as possible to find the creme de la creme of sizzling hotties. Sarging, like sales, is a “numbers game.” Sometimes she will tell you “no” even when you thought she was definitely going to bang you. Sometimes she “flakes.” Sometimes she wastes your time that, had you known, you could have more productively spent Sarging on her even hotter roommate.

That’s life in the fast lane, fellas. Part of life. Can’t be helped. Case in point, this e-mail I got:

The other night I met a hot woman who showed lots of interest in me. I established rapport well, entertained her well. I had her laughing, smiling, her attention was focused on me completely for 15 minutes. Later on she approached me to continue the conversation. Again, things went very well. She was very into me. She gave me her number, and kissed me good night.

I called her the next morning and said she was busy at work and could she call me back. She called back after 10 minutes. It was a great conversation and she agreed to call me next week when she’s back from a trip she’s leaving for.

Then, she called me again 10 minutes later. She said she had to be honest with me – that she is seeing someone, and that it would cause big difficulties in her relationship if she goes out with me. I said, ok, sure, I’ll leave it up to you. She said she’d had a great night with me last night and she’d been a bit drunk. She thanked me for understanding her situation.

What happened here? How do I stop this from happening again?

It’s been my experience, if you treat women nice they tend to run away because it is all new to them. And I’m left standing there, knowing I had good intentions. But good intentions ain’t getting my Willy wet.

Can you expand the process here of how you had to be “hard” on her at first (which is what she expects from men) and slowly change her comfort zone to reach for good feelings – that will open up her heart and blow her mind.

Can this be done without me becoming her therapist and “friend” instead of her lover?

This is territory fraught with pitfalls. First, foremost, UPPERMOST, MOST importantly:

DETACH YOURSELF from the outcome. You might like this woman, but you have to detach; turn down your desire to bang her, make a difference, change her worldview, etc.

Do a little Frame Control on yourself before you try it on her. Repeat this to yourself till it’s clear:

“I am not attached, but nor am I disinterested.”

And then orient yourself to your end goal by asking:

“Do I want a poke in the eye, or do I want to poke her?”

(I think you KNOW what *I* prefer!)

Instead of being the “friend” whose shoulder she cries on about how those jerks treat her wrong, you’ll be the guy who gets her soaking wet with desire…the “best she’s ever had.” They’ll wish they were YOU.

Meeting and succeeding with hot, sexy women has its ups and downs – and not all of them are in bed, or on the couch, or at the beach.

No matter how how much scoring with hot babes is a natural part of who you are and how you approach life, some Sarges just won’t work out. That’s to be expected. You “exit, stage left” and Sarge on the next hottie.

Some guys get thrown for a loop though when they approach women – the unexpected gets in the way, or they get a response they weren’t counting on, and the “shyness” factor kicks in. Case in point: this note I got from a student.

I would like to know if an “anti shyness” solution is good for the situation I’m in, as I’m sure that alot of guys have the same problem.

When I go out Sarging, I can pretty easily get myself to act and talk in the way I like to. But whenever the girl reacts in a way I wasn’t expecting, or when the unexpected happens, I will usually DROP BACK TO MY OLD SELF. Inevitably, I ruin the “first impression” I made on her.

The last time this happened, I was getting a good reaction from the girl, and she said “OMG I am blushing, you say stuff very well.” That made me say something stupid like “Yeah, I’m blushing as well.” Someone who passed by heard us and laughed, and then I laughed and went back to my old self – and started to act in a silly way. This woman shifted from being very charmed into being uninterested, very fast. Ross, what can I do when this happens?

This is pretty common and easily addressed. It’s just an old flow of fear, linked to an old belief that says, “I can’t win”.

The trick is to become consciously aware of and MASTER the very emotions and flows of feeling that have been blocking and stopping you for years, hiding just outside your conscious awareness.

All strong emotions, including negative ones like worry and fear can be re-channeled into AMAZING SOURCES OF POWER. The very same energy/feeling flows/and complexes that have kept you blocked, once mastered, become incredible sources of power and ability, lined up to help you achieve what you want.

Wouldn’t that feel great??? I bet it would sure beat a poke in the eye!
