Today I was thinking about some of the big “operating system” errors that guys make when they are NOT Sarging and where you can make some huge improvements in what I call “back game”.

By “back game” I mean what you do when you are not actively sarging.

This could be doing your daily meditation practice.

It could be keeping a Sarging journal(mandatory).

But it could also be recognizing when you are doing too much analysis with too little data.

Let’s unpack this further.

Let’s say you’ve done 5 sarges.  You got some seemingly good responses and out of those, you’ve managed to set up 1 good, solid meet up.

Rather than focus on preparing yourself for the meet-up, you start chewing on what happened with those other 4.

Now don’t get me wrong; I want you to keep that journal and review every Sarge, noticing first what you did right, and then what could be improved.

But you need to understand that 5 attempts don’t give you nearly enough examples to extract any conclusive direction or data.

You simply need to do less chewing and more doing.

Rather than trying to take things apart at this stage, go and do at least 5, preferably 10 more sarges.

You might find that correcting your “back game” in this way actually brings more leverage than any tweak you may do in the field, because it gives you more good, real world examples to sift.

Every once in a rare while I like to recommend some really good books. So I thought I’d share with you what I’m reading this week and they are all really good ones.

1. Heart Of The Revolution-The Buddha’s Radical Teachings On Forgiveness, Compassion And Kindness, by Noah Levine

Noah is one of my favorite teachers, and you will often find me at his center in Santa Monica on any given Monday night, practicing meditation with his sangha.

This book is a very good exploration of the more “heart centered” Buddhist practices, as contrasted with the very heady and intellectual teachings of Shinzen Young(still my favorite!).   Get this book.

2. Necessary Endings-by Dr Henry Cloud  This book is an astonishing exploration of what it means to make good decisions around when to end a business or personal relationships. One of the top books I have read in the past decade and well deserving of “highest possible recommendation” status.  GET IT NOW!

3. Sit Down And Shut Up-by Brad Warner.  Brad Warner is a former punk rocker turned Zen teacher and he is one hell of a great writer. This book demolishes the Hollywood myths around Buddhism, Zen and enlightenment.   Should be required reading for anyone who wants to steer clear of the New Age perversions that are passing themselves off as Buddhism.  Highly recommended!

4. The Road To 9/11: Wealth, Empire, And The Future Of America-by Peter Dale Scott   As many of you are aware, I studied political science at UCLA and got a degree with a specialty in international relations. And I guess I never entirely lost interest in the subject.

This book is a complex, brilliant and deep read.   I have always held “9/11 Truthers” in well deserved contempt and continue to do so.

However, this author argues cogently and convincingly(without drawing any big conclusions as to why) that the official 9/11 Commission report distorted testimony, withheld evidence and distracted away from some disturbing facts centering around the location of Vice President Cheney on the morning of the attacks, the discrepancies around what orders were given, by whom and when, and most interestingly, the long relationship between the US intelligence community and Al Qaeda itself, most notably Ali Mohamed who trained the 9/11 hijackers.

This book is about much more than 9/11-it is a very thorough examination of the “deep state’s” relationship to drug-running, war, oil and terrorist networks used to forward and advance the interests of the petroleum industry and military industrial complex.

I am most impressed that the author leaves aside ludicrous arguments about remote controlled airplanes and Israeli agents and sticks with what he can document, without jumping to conclusions. He merely points out that certain things are being covered up, without reaching any conclusions about what happened that day and I respect his intellectual honesty.

Very high recommendation, but this is NOT casual reading!

Here’s a pick-up technique that I’ve seen done so many times that if I had a dollar for every time this happened, right in front of my eyes…

…I’d never have to work another minute in my life even if I spent it frivolously.

Man approaches woman.  Man takes out paper tablet and colored pencils.  Man asks if he can sketch the woman.  She says yes or no.  Assuming she says yes, man sketches woman.  Man then shows woman the sketch.  She oooohhhs and aaaaahhhs.  Man asks woman out.

More often than not, man gets shot down.

Now, stick with me for a moment while I show you…

A New Take On The Sketching Approach That “Draws” You More Ladies

A student of mine who uses this approach carries around a sketchbook full of “everyday life” sketches.  He’s always sketching, always drawing, always practicing.

Recently, he sat near two women and started sketching.  After a few minutes he said “Excuse me. I am trying to make both of you a sketch, but you are moving all the time and I can`t finish the details. Would you mind staying still for five minutes?” They looked at him funny for a minute, then with a “well, why not?” reaction, asked him how he wanted them to pose.  After he drew them, he thanked them and closed the sketch book.

How Did This “Draw” The Women Closer?

Here’s the unexpected twist; he didn’t do what they expected.  He projected the experience as something that requires them to co-operate better if they are going to be part of it. He broke what they would normally expect; a guy to ASK if he could sketch them. Instead he told them he was already doing so, AND telling them that they weren’t doing it right!  They can’t tell if you are approving of them or disapproving, if you want something from them as a sexual approach or something else.

Then he didn’t offer to show it to them, he just closed the book and forgot about them.

What Is Really Going On Here…

…is continually doing the unexpected! Pattern interruption creates the openness to be led.

I will say that again.

The core principle here is, “Do the unexpected in a way that creates MORE intrigue and a desire to move forward on the part of the woman.”

Let me briefly outline how I see this going and what I believe will be most helpful.

1.  First, we need to work on, and you need to commit strongly to working on, changing the emotions and the responses you have when things don’t go 100% your way. I’m going to teach you POWERFUL skill sets and practices.

The emotions you bring forward into your interactions with women will obviously have a strong effect on how she responds to you.  This clearly makes sense and is easy to observe.

If you go into any interaction with anyone, and you are fearful, anxious, desperate, angry with yourself and them, they are going to pick up on the subtle and not so subtle non-verbal cues and they are going to want to withdraw.

It looks like this:

limiting emotions/interpretation of events/old beliefs——————>ineffective actions/emotional baggage that turns women off——>crappy results in the world—————>more limiting emotions/interpretation of events/and beliefs—————–>etcetetc in an infinite loop that chases its own tail.   Google: ouroubous

I need for you to see clearly the process by which you have been, up until now, reinforcing your limitations and reinforcing your limiting emotions and responses, and then bringing those forward into your new interactions.

It’s got NOTHING to do with the essence of who you are.  It’s just crappy software. Put that crap in anyone’s head and it will work like a speed brake to destroy any or most progress they would otherwise have made.

So for the first month or so, we are going to train you in this before we do ANY field work.

You will learn:

A. To state what is going on without drama: ‘This feels very frustrating right now! Right now I feel like this is impossible”

B. Claim ownership and management(instead of being a victim or assuming that your feelings just happen to you)

“And I now claim my ownership and my management of this set of feelings”

C. State where you are going to go with it, “To the point where I remain calm, balanced, motivated, dedicated and committed to my skills, my learning, my peace of mind, that bring me my satisfaction and my pleasure, with my most amazing women who please, satisfy, and delight me in every way”

Summarizing:  we are not going to stuff your emotions.  But we are not going to feed them or mix them up with self-pity and drama about how  you just can’t do it and how the world is out to frustrate you etc.

THIS DISCIPLINE IS CRUCIAL FOR ***YOU***.  NOT ALL STUDENTS NEED IT SO MUCH BUT YOU MUST MUST MUST MASTER THIS BEFORE I CAN TEACH YOU ANYTHING ELSE.  The way in which you have, up until now, been handling this, is THE single biggest process that has kept you blocked.

To use a metaphor: it’s not that you are in prison. It’s that the prison is constantly disappearing and then being remade by YOU, moment by moment, by how you have been thinking and processing UP UNTIL NOW.

We will then teach you to work with the raw feeling, without any story or dialog at all. To be present with it and watch it shift and change.   This is called “skill at feel”and it is VERY, VERY powerful.

2. Second, we are going to work on teaching you to build and cultivate a place of inner peace, calm, and refuge that you can and will go to 20 minutes a day.  A reference point for what it feels like to be at ease with yourself. Later we will teach you how to bring this into your external world in your interactions with others.

3. Then and only then will we teach you how to rehearse and program in a powerful, positive presence.

This inner foundational preparation is REQUIRED for you to make the success you are claiming for yourself.

You will have to go get a journal and keep notes on what you are assigned to do and how you do it and the results.

This first part of the training will take anywhere from 3-6 weeks, possibly more. Trust me, this will make the actual field work MUCH easier.

I should have some space either before or after Thanksgiving. You can come down here and I’ll work with you on this stuff. If you’d like to get started sooner, we can do a Skype session which I will record for you.

Finally, I need to send you an agreement which you will sign, that formally gives your consent to use your communication/likeness etc for my purposes of promotion/etc.

Yes, the rumors are true.

I do have a new girlfriend.

Salty is a lawyer who has spent the last 2 years going after the Internet Marketing Syndicate: a bunch of clowns and frauds who get together and promote each other’s high priced, rip-off, “frauducts” and “events”.   This “Syndicate” rakes in the bucks from endorsing each other(0ften failing to reveal that fact, against FTC rules) and schedules their product launches to make sure they don’t interfere with each other.

Now the Syndicate Salty is busily and amusingly destroying is all about selling information marketing/get rich on the Web schemes.

But there is an absolute parallel in the PUA/Seduction world.

Let me quote someone who Salty quoted:

“There is a very real conspiracy to extract as much money from you as possible.

Right now, as I write this, there is a group of “gurus” sitting in a circle in some hotel suite.

Each one of them is talking about their own version of Method X, and how he plans to sell it to the masses.

And they are all agreeing to promote one another’s Method X….

…and that’s why you keep getting email after email from the same group of people promoting one another.

Now, am I saying it’s wrong to promote products for other people? No. I’m not. What I am saying is that when there is an organized “plan” to put you into a cycle of buying one $2,000 or $5,000 product after another, without regard for what’s best for you…

…when you have bought… and bought… and bought stuff, but still haven’t made any money….

…when you are being told 10-12 times per year that the latest, greatest, “Method X” is the “one true answer” to all your problems…

….and you keep racking up credit card debt to buy all this crap, with no results to show for it…
